Wardogs has a lot of numbers and a lot of new words. This page puts the basics in plain English and points you to the right tool for each step. Read it in order, or jump to what you need.

Five steps to feel at home

Each step opens the tool that helps with it.

The basics in one minute

Three teams, three maps

Lonestar (blue), Valkyra (red) and Manticore (green) fight on Bakurani, Ozeti and Zestafona. Each team’s HQ and spawn area stay in the same place. In community-tracked matches Manticore wins about half, Valkyra a third and Lonestar one in seven, so expect balance changes.

Seven tracks of levels

You have six role levels (Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver and Pilot). Your Wardog level is their total, and it opens armor, backpacks and pistols.

Unlocking takes two steps

Reach the level, then pay the item’s one-time fee. After that you pay its normal shop price each time you buy it for a life.

Armor blocks a share of damage

Levels 1 to 4 block 30%, 40%, 55% and 65%. Heavier armor protects more but weighs a lot more.

Ammo is a trade-off

Hollow point does double damage to an unarmored enemy but almost nothing through armor. Armor-piercing is the reverse.

Artillery needs a direction and an angle

The mortar and the howitzer each reach a set range. Rainmaker works out where to aim and how far to tilt the barrel.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. Every tool works without one. If you sign in later, your saved levels, loadouts and choices follow you to other devices.

Is this official?

No. It is a fan-made site by stoltzr and is not connected to the game’s developers. Numbers come from community tests and published tables, so small differences can be noise.

Why do some numbers say they are estimates?

The game does not publish everything. Where something is measured by the community, we say so. Where it is a guess, such as the roads picked out of the map pictures, we say that too. The hills inside each playable area are the game’s own.

Where are the role and building guides?

In the top bar: the Wiki covers pilot, driver, medic, recon, support and assault with every price and unlock level, and every gun, armor level and unlock too; Groundwork covers every structure, the build order and the techniques builders use.
